The historic Red Fort came alive Friday as Delhi celebrated 350 years of its existence.
With Sufi music playing in the background, 150 Pakistani students who came in specially to take part in the celebrations enthralled the audience with their performance.
With the fort lit up for the celebrations, the Diwan-e-Khas, an area inside the fort, seemed to have found its lost grandeur.
About 1,500 Delhiites witnessed the celebrations. Performances by Pakistani singer Shehzad Roy and Shafqat and Amanat Ali were the highlights of the evening.
'We are committed to bringing alive the event for our listeners and will promote it extensively on radio,' said Abraham Thomas, chief coordinating officer of RED FM, a co-organiser of the event.
Apart from performances by the Pakistani artists and recitation of poems, qawwalis were also sung at the Mughal monument.
