Lahore: US Consulate Principal Officer Bryan D. Hunt has said that all religions teach the lesson love and brotherhood.

“Besides Islam, Sufism is present in all other religions as well, especially in Christianity. And even in Christianity, Sufism aims at same mission as that of Islam,” he stated this during a meeting with Sufism Council of Pakistan Chairman Makhdoom Nafees here on Saturday.

Nafees told Bryan that the council consisted of the caretakers of the most prominent shrines of the country and it arranged thought-provoking debates in different cities with the view of exterminating terrorism, fanaticism, and to stimulate inter-religious brotherhood.

He said a 15-day workshop was being inaugurated by the council in Lahore and relevant people of all religions were invited to participate in the workshop.
