Srinagar: Revered spiritual personality and well-known Sufi saint Qazi Mohammad Akbar, popularly known as Aka Sahib, has passed away in north Kashmir.
Thousands of people joined the "Nimaz Jinazah" of Aka Sahib at Arampora Sopore in Baramulla district yesterday.
Jammu and Kashmir Legislative Assembly Speaker Mohammad Akbar Lone and several other political, religious and social leaders have expressed deep sorrow and grief over the demise of the Sufi saint.
Aka Sahib of Tarazu Amarpora had been in spiritual meditation for the last several decades and thousands of people used to visit him and seek his blessings. Last year, Ahad Sahib of Sopore also passed away and lakhs of people attended his funeral at Sopore.
The death of Aka Sahib is being mourned by his devotees across the Valley.
