Lahore: Three-day celebrations of 19th annual Urs of spiritual figure and Sufi intellectual Hazrat Wasif Ali Wasif will start on Saturday (today).
According to the programme, the Urs will start with the Chadar Poshi of the mazar [mausoleum*] at Miani Sahib graveyard after Asr prayers while Naat competition will be held after Isha prayers.
On the second day of the Urs on June 26, a seminar will be held regarding the personality and teachings of Hazrat Wasif Ali Wasif at Alhamra Hall No 2 under the chairmanship of former Chief Justice of Lahore High Court Kh Muhammad Sharif.
The speakers include Mujeeb-ur-Rehman Shami, Asghar Nadeem Syed, Dr Ajmal Niazi, Zaheer Badar, Pir Aftab and Salman Akram.
