A. R. Rahman has fulfilled a long-cherished dream of floating his own music label - KM Music. His label will only distribute music recorded in his studio in Chennai to large music companies like Sony.
KM are the initials of a Sufi saint from the South who Rahman wants to honour through his music. However, none of his film projects will be on the KM label.
