World Punjabi Congress (WPC) chairman Fakhar Zaman said [through a PR] on Friday that he had convinced the Institute of Culture and Art, Delhi, to celebrate Waris Shah’s 300th birthday.
The press release said further seminars, conferences and symposia would be organised in both the countries to bring into limelight the poetry of Waris Shah.
It said 15th World Punjabi Conference and seminars on Peace and Sufism would be held in Delhi and Amritsar from September 24 to 29.
