Astan-e Qods Razavi Library plans to publish a rare manuscript of the Divan of Hafez that was donated by the Supreme Leader Ayatollah Seyyed Ali Khamenei.
The divan, inscribed by famous calligrapher of Safavid era Darvish Abdolmajid Taleqani, will be published by the publisher Astan-e Qods Razavi in 4,000 volumes, head of the Public Relations Office of Astan-e Qods Razavi Organization announced on Tuesday.
Mohammad-Hadi Zahedi noted that the Supreme Leader has donated a collection of 9,000 copies of inscriptions to the library, which possesses a large number of rare books of literature.
“The library aims to provide facilities for experts and researchers to gain access to copies of rare manuscripts. Publishing books as well as launching a digital library are among the library’s programs,” he added.
The Astan-e Qods Razavi Library, which is adjacent to the holy shrine of Imam Reza (AS), houses 78,000 manuscripts, 40,000 rolls of microfilms, and 45,000 lithographs.
