Islamabad: Sindh Minister for Culture, Sports and Tourism Sassi Palejo Wednesday announced a grant of Rs5 million for Shah Latif Community Centre in Islamabad.
She was presiding over the inauguration ceremony of newly refurbished Auditorium of Sindh Graduates Association at Shah Abdul Latif Community Centre.
Speaking on the occasion, the minister also announced funding for the construction of a working women hostel. She said that multi-media system would also be provided for the auditorium.
Sassi Palejo said that Islamabad represents the federation of Pakistan and it is important to have such facilities available so that people of Sindh can spread the message of love from the land of Sufis to other communities.
Adorned with illustration of Great Sufi Poet Shah Abdul Latif Bhittai’s message of peace, love and harmony, the auditorium has been completed at a cost of Rs15 million [USD 186,000.--].
