Almaty to host seminar on mysticism in Iran and Central Asia

TEHRAN, Dec. 10 (MNA) -- An international seminar on Sufism and mysticism in Iran and Central Asia is to be held in March in Almaty, Kazakhstan.
The mystic thoughts of Hafez and Rumi and their influence on mysticism and Sufism in Iran and Central Asia, as well as the role of Sufism and mysticism in developing Islamic values in Iran and Central Asia are among the topics to be discussed during the seminar, which will be held on March 6 and 7.

In addition, topics such as the mystical path in Iran and Central Asia, educational thought in Sufism, the social status of mysticism and Sufism in Iran and Central Asia, as well as mysticism and Sufism and the cultural identity of Central Asian nations will also be examined.

The seminar is being cosponsored by the National Library of the Republic of Kazakhstan and the center for Iran and Central Asia Cultural Studies.

Articles will be presented in Persian, Russian, and Kazakh.
