Musician A R Rahman has sought a cleanliness drive around 12th century Sufi saint Khwaja Moinuddin Chishti’s mausoleum in Ajmer.
A regular visitor to the dargah, Rahman was recently in Ajmer along with film-maker Shekhar Kapur and the Oscar-winner Resul Pookutty. The three met local authorities and assured all possible help for the drive.
‘‘He knows the area and its problems and this visit was aimed at highlighting poor conditions,’’ said a priest.
