Pak Patan: Great Sufi saint Baba Fariduddin Ganjshakar’s 15-day Urs kicked-off in Pak Patan on Sunday.
The 729th Urs of Baba Farid was instated by Shrine’s sajada nasheen Dewan Modud Masood Chishti. Other family members of Dewan family were also present at the occasion.
The Urs program is divided into three sections. The first and second parts will be held from first to fourth Moharram-ul-Haram during which Sajada Nasheen will carry out rituals all day and night.
The third part is called ‘Nuqta-e-urooj’ in which the Bahishti Darwaza is opened on fifth of Moharram.
Tight security measures have been put in place by the administration.
